FROM handling fossils to a geology timeline trail, visitors to the Museum of Somerset yesterday (February 16) learned something new at Dino Day.

Families turned out in their numbers for the Taunton museum's open day, with guests taking part in a wide range of activities.

Craft activities included making peg and origami dinosaurs, as well as the chance to speak to experts and touch real sea dragons.

Children could play the role of palaeontologist for the day by digging and reconstructing a pasta dinosaur.

County Gazette photographer GEOFF HALL popped along to join in the fun.
