THE cast and crew of the Oasis Theatre production of Rocky Monster Show are celebrating after receiving five nominations for the Somerset Fellowship of Drama David Beach Award.

The show rocked the Regal Theatre at the beginning of April last year, directed by Georgina Charnock with performers from Oasis Theatre and seasoned actors.

Georgina said: “They all worked brilliantly with each other making it an extraordinarily special show.

“I am very proud of all the cast and their achievements; it was always my dream to give the members of Oasis lead roles.”

The nominations they have received are: Best Creative Lighting by Jim Woddley; Best Actor under 16, Ronaldo Charnock for his role of Igor; and two nominations for Best Actress under 16, Emma Ronald who played Ria and Yasmin Turner as Rebecca.

The ‘Time Warp’ has received a prestigious nomination as a Showstopper number, choreographed by Beth Beauchamp, performed by Oasis Theatre with dancers from Dreams Performing Arts and members of the Exmoor Young Arts.

The David Beach Awards Ceremony will be held at the Taunton Cricket Club in March.
