A TEENAGE first aider working for St John’s Ambulance has been nominated for an award.
Adam Evans, right, of Hambridge, a 17-year-old cadet with the charity’s Taunton unit, has been made the South-West’s representative for the service’s annual Volunteer of the Year award.
It could see him meet TV’s Tess Daly, who will compere the star-studded Everyday Heroes awards bash on March 26.
Adam, who has volunteered with St John since the age of five, is up against seven regional finalists and is hoping for enough votes from St John’s volunteers in an online poll until Sunday, March 2.
Adam said: “I’m astounded and humbled at being chosen to represent the South-West.
“I knew I did a lot, but you always get the feeling other people do more, so it’s a real privilege to be noticed.”
