MEMBERS of Ilminster Lions have once again given a generous contribution towards the town’s Christmas lights.

Lions joined president Roger Taylor to present a cheque for £605 to Glenn McQueen and Clinton Bonner of the Ilminster Christmas Lights Committee.

The money was raised from donations for their mulled wine at last year’s Victorian Evening.

Lions membership secretary David Case said: “We are enthralled that the people of Ilminster support the Lions as they do – we are really chuffed.”

Glenn added: “We are very pleased they have supported us every single year one way or another. They have been absolutely fantastic and this is an extremely generous amount.”

New members are always welcome at Ilminster Lions – anyone interested can get in touch with David through the website, www.ilminsterlionsclub.co.uk
