TROPIQUARIA has gained a new and unexpected addition to its array of animals...but they are looking to return it to its owners.
Two peacocks have been spotted roaming the Williton area over the past couple of weeks.
A few days ago, head keeper Sam Pollard collected the male peafowl after it was captured.
It is now safely under lock and key at Tropiquaria, but they would like to return it to its original owners.
Chris Mosier, Tropiquaria director said: “Whether or not the other one is still out there someone remains to be established.
“We’ve have had some bad weather recently and the foxes around here will take peafowl if they are not roosting high enough in the trees at night.”
Tropiquaria can be contacted on 01984-640688.
