VOLUNTEERS are being urged to step forward to help students reach their full potential.

Bridgwater Education Trust wants to recruit mentors from all backgrounds to work with and support students in the area.

A spokesman said: “If you have good listening skills and enjoy interacting with young people, you could become a mentor.

“It is not a demanding commitment yet it makes such a difference to our students.”

All recruits will receive a a half-day training workshop and and follow-up support. No previous mentoring experience is necessary.
