A MAN had his head stamped on during an assault in Yeovil.

The incident took place on Tuesday, January 7, at around 4pm.

A 16-year-old was walking along Preston Grove when he was approached by another teenager who became abusive towards him.

While they were in the car park of Westlands Social Club the victim was knocked to the ground and his head was stamped on.

The assault was reported to police on January 22and they have launched an investigation into the assault.

They would particularly like to speak to a man who was walking his dog in the area at that time as well as two older males who assisted the victim by taking him home.

These three people, and anyone else with information about the assault, should contact police on 101 and quote7197/14.
