FOXES Academy hosted its annual work experience provider’s dinner and presentation evening last Friday at the hotel.

Twenty five of the Academy’s work experience providers enjoyed a three course meal cooked and served by learners studying for an NVQ certificate in Hospitality in their final year at Foxes.

Ben Graham work experience manager and Martin Mann Foxes Hotel manager, gave a presentation on the Academy’s Programme and safeguarding.

Ben said: “We are very grateful to and highly value all of the local businesses who work with Foxes on the work experience programme

“The annual dinner is one way we can thank them.

“Work experience is the gateway to paid employment for our students when they leave their vocational courses at Foxes.

“Our key aim is to significantly improve the number of students with learning difficulties that leave full time education and enter into work and our evidence and Ofsted report shows we do this very successfully.

“Without the support of our work experience providers we would not be able to achieve this.”

A Certificate of Contribution was presented to the Luttrell Arms Hotel in Dunster in recognition of providing a learner with a community work placement.
