PICTURED are members of Richard Huish College’s rugby team, who are gearing up for one of the biggest matches of their lives on Friday.
For the first time ever, the college team have reached the last 32 of the Natwest Cup under-18s competition.
They have beaten Gryphon School 22-18, Millfield School 19-12, and Beechen Cliffe 34-0, and tomorrow, will take on Truro School in Cornwall.
First team coach Chris Heal said: “It has been an exciting journey for the players, who have done exceptionally well to have got this far, beating some very tough opponents along the way.
“It is the first time ever that we have progressed this far. We are all looking forward to the challenge of the game against Truro School, where we hope to continue this excellent cup run.”
The Natwest Cup (previously the Daily Mail Cup), is the leading nationwide rugby competition between schools and colleges.
