A COLLECTION of short films has been released on DVD by a Bridgwater-based charity.
Somerset Film, based at The Engine Room, has put films in the collection ‘Reel Somerset – Volume One’ onto DVD to champion work made by local filmmakers.
It has been distributed to over 100 non-profit making exhibitors in the South West in the hope that people choose to show them publicly.
The collection features drama and documentary and includes the award winning animation ‘Can You Teach a Worm to Tango’.
Somerset Film studio manager Will Bix said: “In this volume we’ve chosen those filmmakers with whom we have worked with directly or who have used the resources at The Engine Room to produce it.”
There is no cost to screen the content, however, a donation of £20 helps to cover production and postage costs and register the recipient for volume two.
To hold a screening or receive a copy email info@somersetfilm.com or call 01278-433187.
