HAYGROVE GCSE Humanities students invited Sedgemoor and West Somerset MP, Ian Liddell Grainger, into school to talk about the changing role of MPs.
During the session the students asked Mr Liddell-Grainger some searching questions about MPs' expenses, the United Kingdom's role in the wider world, UK aid given to developing countries, the impact of Hinkley C on the local area and the Bridgwater Vision for how the town will develop into the future.
Head of Humanities Jeff Woodason said: βIt's great for our students to get the chance to meet their local MP. This visit is part of the school's enrichment programme which aims to support students to achieve at the highest level and also increases their awareness of local and global issues.β
