PUPILS and staff from the Jean Rees Centre enjoyed their first Christmas dinner and awards presentation since their move into their new building.
The pupils moved in September from Penrose School to the new building based on the same site as Chilton Trinity School.
Throughout the busy term students have worked hard on gaining independence, work skills, functional skills and decision making.
Students have been attending weekly work-related learning placements at a variety of different businesses.
Awards were presented by Liz Hayward, Federation head teacher for Penrose and Elmwood.
The awards were: ‘Movement’ to Ashley, ‘Communication’ to Oliwia, ‘Friendship’ to Peter and ‘Good Work’ to Steven.
