RECYCLING centres at Priorswood in Taunton and Minehead could open for more hours during the week from April under Somerset Waste Partnership (SWP) proposals.
It is looking into closing centres in Coleford and Middlezoy as it attempts to save £711,900 next year.
Managing director Steve Read believes the move would improve recycling levels and help cut flytipping.
Somerset Waste Board will take a final decision on February 21.
