BRIDGWATER’s Cherri Locke has made it through the finals of a nationwide modelling contest.
Cherri has been selected from all the entrants in the competition to find ‘The UK’s Next Top Model’ in the natural beauty category.
The up-and-coming star made it through to the final after a nerve-wracking audition in London in November.
Cherri, 17, said: “I was really nervous. In the first hour, 60 girls and boys were sent home.
“I was there for three or four hours to see if I made it through.”
Born in Taunton, Cherri has lived in Bridgwater since she was four and believes she has a fair chance of winning her natural beauty category.
Cheri said: “There are only six girls in my category while the others have about 11, so it’s a quite nice category to be put in.”
The final will be on April 4 but, before then, she will be travelling to London for catwalk training and PR events with the competition organisers.
