THE Environment Agency has issued 35 flood alerts and two flood warnings for the South West tonight.
Motorists are being asked to take extra care on Somerset roads as strong winds and heavy rain hit the region.
The Met Office has released a yellow warning for England's South West, with wind gusts expected to reach between 50 and 60mph, even up to 70mph "in exposed coastal areas".
Its warning added: "The public should be aware of the potential for minor disruption".
