A FREE Christmas Tree Festival will be held at Bridgwater Methodist Church next weekend.

From Friday, December 13 to Sunday, December 15, around 40 trees will be displayed in the church, all provided by local community groups and charities.

The Festival includes a free concert which begins with a ‘Grand Switch-on of the tree lights’. The concert features the Somerset Hills Chorus and the Taunton Ukulele Strummers Club, and includes a supper interval.

On Saturday, there will be entertainment in the church during the morning including various choirs and a young people's dance group. In the afternoon there will be more opportunity to view the trees. Refreshments will be served throughout the day.

Also on the Saturday children can enjoy ‘Messy Church’ activities from 2.30 to 4pm, including card making and biscuit decoration.

The church will be donating toys for children at the church service at 10.30am on Sunday. That evening at 6.30pm there will be a traditional Candlelight Carol Service.
