POLICE have named a woman who died following a road traffic collision in Yeovil this week.

Irene Farnham, aged 75, of Yeovil, died at Yeovil District Hospital on Monday. She was involved in an accident on the A37 Dorchester Road at 2.30pm on the same day.

It appears the car in which she was travelling was going along the A37 towards the Red House roundabout when it crossed the carriageway and was in collision with another vehicle.

The road policing unit's collision investigation unit have put out an appeal for witnesses to the incident.
