A GROUP based in Over Stowey has raised £14,000 for a hospital children’s ward.
After a packed year of fundraising, the Marion Evered trust presented a cheque to Dr Louise Newbury and Susan Pilkington on behalf of the Oak Children’s Ward at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton.
The Trust has been raising money for the past 39 years and Dr Newbury gave feedback as to how some of last year’s money had been allocated.
This included equipment for the ward and a garden area for the children to enjoy while having to spend time within the hospital.
The cheque was handed over at the group’s annual presentation dinner at Over Stowey Village Hall.
The trust committee thanked all those who helped with the fundraising events throughout the year.
