3:30pm Tuesday 22nd October 2013 in News
A GROUP of care home residents in Bridgwater have been introduced to the Paralympic sport of Boccia.
The residents of Oak Trees Residential Care Home in Bridgwater have been taking part in coaching sessions over the past few weeks.
Somerset Activity and Sports Partnership (SASP) has been delivering the sessions, together with care staff at Oak Trees.
The enjoyment of all those who participated resulted in Somerset Care acquiring its own set of Boccia balls to continue games on a regular basis.
Boccia is a target ball game which can be played inclusively regardless of age or ability levels and can be used as an activity that contributes to the physical health and wellbeing of participatants.
To find out more details about Boccia being delivered in Sedgemoor and across the Somerset area, contact SASP on 01823-653990 or email email@example.com
