Bridgwater College hosts international lunch
BRIDGWATER College hosted an international lunch, designed to help students meet people from other courses and countries.
The college started the lunches in May last year.
They allow overseas students to meet those on the International Baccalaureate, A Level and Access courses and to support each other academically and socially.
Heather Measures, 27, who is studying Access to Higher Education Combined Studies, said: “Events like these are great as I get to meet loads of new people who I never would come across.
“I enjoy trying lots of new foods as well, especially things like Czech delicacies which I would never normally have tried!”
Irena Hubble-Brezowski, programme manager for French, said: “This was a fabulous experience for all our students.
“I was especially pleased that A Level and IB students met their French counterparts, who are studying in Cannington, and we were able to start a Franco-English dialogue which will be continued throughout the year.”
