Sign up for Spaxton School's Christmas fayre

SOMERSET crafters are invited to sign up for a stall at Spaxton School’s Parents, Teachers and Friends Association’s Christmas Fayre.
The fayre will be held in Spaxton Village Hall on Saturday, November 30, and stallholders are invited to display and sell their goods at the festive-themed event.
Co-chair of the PTFA, Rachel Burks, said: “We’re hoping to raise invaluable funds to help support a series of activities and initiatives to assist the school. We have just a few spaces left and we wanted to give people the chance to book up early.
“We would like to have a range of food stalls offering Christmas treats such as puddings, biscuits and chutneys, as well as craft, gift and decoration stalls.
“There will also be a raffle, refreshments and entertainment for all the family on the day. We hope to offer a range of different stalls at the event so that there is something to appeal to everyone.
“The Christmas Fayre is always well attended, with several hundred visitors in previous years and we expect it to be a similar number this time around.”
The PTFA’s role is to raise funds to help support the school and its educational and social activities.
It helps pay for weekly French lessons, story sacks for reception and year one children, music equipment, trips, cultural activities and some of the building maintenance.
Rachel added: “The Christmas Fayre promises to be a fun event for all the family and we’re on course to have a variety of stalls there to ensure visitors have plenty to see and do.”
Places for stallholders will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Stallholders must pay £10 for a standard table and also donate a prize for the raffle.
Stallholders will be invited to set up from 11am and the event will be held from 2pm until 5pm.
