Minehead: going in the right direction for tourism
WEST Somerset Council is hoping new signs and information points will help point the region’s tourists in the right direction.
The new Enterprise Park signage and Minehead town centre business directory signs will help tourists and new visitors navigate around the town more easily.
These, together with new town centre fingerposts and car park interpretation signs, have been produced in Minehead’s official Conservation Society colours of green and cream.
All of the new signs have a QR code which directs smart phone users to the Minehead Town Guide App.
The Minehead Town Guide App features comprehensive information on local businesses, events, map, attractions and transport details.
The App is free and easily downloadable, giving visitors a full guide to the town at their fingertips.
Councillor Karen Mills told the Gazette: “We have so much to offer here, and we want to give people the confidence to get out and explore the area.
“Getting to know our town better will encourage people to support local shops and services and come back and visit us again.”
