Vintage fair to return to Puriton
A POPULAR vintage fair which returns to Puriton this month is expected to attract hundreds to the area.
Vintage at the Village will be hosting its next nostalgic village fair at Puriton Village Hall on September 28 from 10am to 4pm.
Fair organiser Laura Payne said: “The first fair we held attracted around 800 people from all around. There’s nothing like this in Sedgemoor, so it attracts a lot of interest.
“When you step through the door of the hall, there’s a feeling of stepping back in time. It’s all going to be decorated in a nostalgic theme with old fashioned music playing.”
Items are vintage and modern vintage, with themes from the 1930s up. There will be a range of clothing, accessories, fabrics, chinaware and other items.
The organisers have also donated items for a raffle, to be held in aid of the Puriton War Memorial fund.
Laura added: “There’s no time like the past, so I hope people come and enjoy some vintage tea on original china.”
