PLANS for a huge solar park in Watchfield, near Highbridge, have been approved.
Hadstone Energy’s proposal for a solar park on farmland at Pillmore Lane, east of the M5, was given the green light on August 1.
Hadstone Energy told the Weekly News: “We are delighted Sedgemoor District Council has approved our application to install a 10MW solar farm at Watchfield.
“It will provide up to 2,500 homes with energy from renewable sources, together with a diversification of income for two local farmers.”
