TAUNTON Deane MP Jeremy Browne has visited Quantock Brewery, based at Chelston, Wellington, to congratulate them on their award-winning success.

The popular brewery is expanding its operations after raising £12,000 through private investors.

Mr Browne said: “I clearly remember first visiting Quantock Brewery five years ago when they were just getting started. Back then, they were a little micro-brewery seeking to establish themselves against much bigger competitors.

“Quantock Brewery has now made a big leap forward. They have expanded their range of beers and professionalised their branding and promotions.

“Their most popular beers, like Wills Neck – named after the highest point in the Quantock Hills – have received national awards.

“Now Quantock Brewery has secured additional investment to enable the business to expand, it will allow them to increase production, improve their distribution and reach more customers.

“I enjoy drinking local beer and cider brewed here in Taunton Deane. It is part of the heritage of Somerset.

“So I am pleased Quantock Brewery is making a success of their business and I wish them well with their next phase of development.”
