POTHOLE problems are still being welcomed by Somerset County Council even though it has repaired more than 17,300 since the start of the year.
Figures show over 7,800 potholes were repaired between April and the end of June – an increase of over 700 on the same period last year.
In that period 7,581 reports of potholes were received from the public and highways staff – an increase of 65.
Over 3,000 repairs were made in three weeks in February as repairs began in earnest after one of the wettest periods on record.
You can report potholes to the council’s roads and transport team on 0845-3459155 or see www.somerset.gov.uk
