Tools for Shepton

First published in News

PUPILS from Shepton Beauchamp Primary School have been presented with refurbished gardening tools.

The school received the tools from Monkton Elm Garden & Pet Centre in Monkton Heathfield, near Taunton, as part of The Conservation Foundation’s Tools Shed programme.

Teacher Tim Baker said: “We would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to Monkton Elm Garden & Pet Centre for donating the refurbished tools to us.

“They will be used in our Forest School sessions, which I teach to the whole school. We are currently tidying the garden and hope to start planting vegetables and other plants, so the tools will come in extremely handy.”

The tools were given to the Tools Shed initiative and were repaired at Dartmoor Prison, providing prisoners with work and giving them the chance to gain skills.
