FIREFIGHTERS rescued a man from a fire at a flat in Wellington in the early hours of this morning (June 15).
Crews from Minehead arrived at the scene at Church Street, Alcombe, just before 2am and found the ground-floor flat heavily smoke-logged after food had been left cooking.
They ecorted the man from the property and he was treated by paramedics at the scene as a precaution.
The flat suffered smoke damage.
