A MIDSUMMER weekend of Opera at Crowcombe court features two sensational productions from Britain’s leading touring opera company.
On Friday, June 21, national and international opera singers from Opera Brava, who have all sung at The Royal Opera House, will perform The Barber of Seville, unravelling Rossini’s fantastic score with world class singing and lashings of humour.
This is all held together by Jeremy Silver an international conductor who has worked at English National Opera, Glyndebourne, Europe and South Africa.
On Saturday, June 22, The Candelit Opera Gala will feature music to touch all senses including a medley from West Side Story and the Gilbert & Sullivan as well as songs by Lehar, Rodgers & Hammerstein and Gershwin.
The shows promises to break down barriers to appeal all ages, delighting the opera buffs and converting the uninitiated.
Tickets cost £25 or £32 on the gate – call the box office on 01444-443000 or visit the venue's website here.
