STAFF at Debenhams head office in Taunton are celebrating after raising £3,000 at their annual dinner dance.
The money will be split between 12 local charities including St Margaret’s Hospice, Multiple Sclerosis Society, MIND and Help for Heroes.
Cathy Jeffs, director of finance support services, said: “We were delighted to raise such a significant amount of money at our dinner dance – a big thanks goes to all who provided prizes and entered the raffle.
“The charities have all been chosen by Debenhams colleagues, many because they have had some sort of dealing with them themselves or through friends or family.”
Theresa Wort, corporate fundraiser at St Margaret’s Hospice, said: “We received a £600 donation and every penny will make a difference to the families and patients of our hospice.”
