A FATHER and son accused of killing 35-year-old Paul Retallick in Langport last year have been cleared of his murder.

Mr Retallick was found dead at his ex-girlfriend Heidi McGinty's house in Iris Way on  September 16.

Heidi's father Michael McGinty, 55, and brother Lee McGinty, 25, both of Peony Road, Langport, had denied his murder and were standing trial at Bristol Crown Court.

Today a jury ruled Michael McGinty was not guilty of murder but found Lee McGinty guilty of manslaughter by reason of loss of control. He is due to be sentenced on Monday.
