Crash causes rush hour tailbacks in Burnham

THERE was a rush hour drama in Burnham this week after a van and car collided.

The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon (March 19) when a trades van from Wales and a saloon car were in collision near Sandy Close on Burnham Road.

The van sustained a damaged wheel, flat tyre and broken drive shaft.

Two Police Community Support Officers conducted traffic flow, for some hours, while recovery was arranged. The car was pulled into a side road by Highbridge and Burnham Carnival chairman Phil New.
