Great grandmother notches up 100th birthday

GREAT grandmother Lilian Heathcote notched up three figures when she celebrated her 100th birthday with close family.
Lilian moved to Somerset with her family in the 1970s and they joined her for the special day at Calway House last Wednesday.
She has one daughter, Susan Hemburrow, 59, two grandchildren, Martyn Hemburrow, 26, and Tracey Hemburrow, 28, and three-month-old great grand-daughter Sophie Hemburrow.
Lilan was a member at Wiveliscombe Badminton Club, Temple Methodist Church in Taunton and Taunton Vale WI.
She was also a keen skittles player at Taunton Vale and used to be part of a girl guides group.
One of her former jobs involved being a secretary typing up notes for D-Day when she worked for the Air Force.
