CHILDREN from Hugh Sexey Middle School in Blackford have been working hard to raise cash for Red Nose Day.
They set up a ‘Le Nez Rouge Café’ for children and parents, with Year Eight pupils providing a continental breakfast for £2.
This included a freshly baked croissant, pain au chocolat, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, orange juice, and an exclusive copy of the school’s top ten Red Nose Day jokes.
Students also held a cake sale and hosted a comedy sketch of their own ‘Harlem Shake’ in the main hall in the afternoon.
Out of the total collected, which is still being counted, 75% will go to Comic Relief and 25% will go to a charity for children with Down’s Syndrome.
