Communication key to reviving Minehead

Revive Minehead founder, Fay Dyke.
A WOMAN who is passionate about rejuvenating Minehead believes communication between existing groups is the key.
Fay Dyke is looking for people to become committee members in her recently-formed group, Revive Minehead, which has gathered significant momentum since she set it up just over a month ago.
More than 30 people wentto the first official meeting on March 6, showing early support for the ethos of combining forces to achieve a common aim.
Fay said: “There was nowhere for people to talk about Minehead, so it started as a conversation group, but it soon highlighted a lack of communication between the community, councils and other organisations.
“One of the reasons I was adamant about starting this group was people’s despondency about Minehead. This gives them a voice and bridges the gap between groups. Let’s revive Minehead, get community spirit active and our views represented.”
The next official meeting will take place in mid-April; anyone interested in becoming involved can getin touch by emailing reviveminehead@hotmail.co.uk tweeting @reviveminehead or via the Facebook profile and page of the same name.
