SOMERSET County Council has helped to provide the funds necessary which could help save a life in Lopen.
The authority has awarded a £1,200 grant to Lopen Parish Council to buy a defibrillator machine for the village which can be used in the event of somebody suffering a heart attack.
Les Farris has agreed to work with the parish council on the project to get the unit up and running with trained responders from the village.
