TAUNTON Preparatory School is introducing an innovative two-year programme of study for children in Years 7 and 8.

The scheme aims to prepare them for the challenges of life as young adults – academically, socially, culturally and spiritually.

It will do so by actively developing and tracking knowledge, skills and attitudes, alongside academic subjects.

The children will learn Life Skills such as leadership and teamwork, critical thinking and problem solving, initiative and independent learning and appropriate use of technology.

To launch the programme, Taunton Preparatory School is running a Life Skills Day for Year 6 pupils on March 19.

Youngsters will take part in outward bound, teamwork activities, work together to design and market a unique (and tasty) product and find creative ways of making a promotional film about Life Skills using iPads.

If you would like your child to take part in this free Life Skills Day, contact Kate Rippin on 01823-703703 or email kate.rippin@tauntonschool.co.uk.
