Community intelligence is vital for police

PEOPLE across Chard, Ilminster and Crewkerne have been encouraged to help the police with 'community intelligence' about illegal drug activity in their area.

There have been a couple of incidents in which police have reacted to informaiton provided by the public.

And Sergeant Richard Barnett said: "I would like to thank those members of the community who continue to support our work.

“Community intelligence is a key part of our role and the public act as our eyes and ears.”

Anyone with any information on drug-related crime in their area can contact police by calling 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800-555111."
