How many accidents do there need to be before the traffic light phasing at that junction is changed?

Hear, hear. A filter right from Wylds Road onto the NDR would help. These lights were done on the cheap and several people have paid the price.

Even if someone dies there nothing will charge until one of the emergency service's or someone high up from SCC or SDC has an accident there. I've seen this happen before.

Change this junction to a roundabout then everything goes one way and everyone knows who has right of way

Unfortunately no amount of money spent can make up for poor driving. Yes the signals need changing but people also need to use some common sense. You get exactly the same issue on the Broadway junction by the BP garage because people either deliberately cut in front or they are just plain stupid.

I don't think that will be the case!

But yes, the lights need looking at, as do most in Bridgwater.

Why there is not dedicated right turn filter arrows at this junction and also East Quay Wylds Rd junction I don't know.

I still stand by my comment that someday a pedestrian will be hit by someone turning right from The Clink into East Quay. Motorists pass the lights and wait. Time the traffic has stopped coming over the bridge the light they passed is red, then the pedestrian phase is active and they turn right into East Quay.

I did see highways looking at plans down by the Wills Road/Taunton Rd junction today. Perhaps some junction improvements are planned here, lights would be nice. Turning right out of Wills Road is not a pleasant experience at peak (well most) times

Perhaps they should fix camera's to the lights and catch the motorist's that jump the red lights especially the ones turning right from the Broadway to Taunton road. When you are waiting to go across the lights to Morrisons your light is green and you dare not go because motorists are still coming through th red light from the Broadway.Lights or a roundabout at Wills road would be brilliant especially turning to the right onto Taunton road.Come on you councillors listen to what the people of Bridgwater are saying they come up with idea's you dont even think of !!!!
