VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help clear up Berrow Dunes local nature reserve.
Bristol University Conservation Group will be making their annual visit on Sunday, February 24, to the nature reserve to undertake sea buckthorn scrub clearance and would be glad of additional help.
The sea buckthorn has spread over about half of the reserve since its introduction less than a century ago, leading to the loss of much of the species-rich grassland habitat.
Anyone wishing to help out should meet at 10.30am in the Local Nature Reserve car park.
Any person who wishes to take part in conservation events at Berrow Dunes may contact Sedgemoor District Council’s Landscape Officer on 0845 408 2540.
