SEDGEMOOR District Councillors have given the nod to two more supermarkets.

Tesco has won permission for an Extra store in Bridgwater, creating 260 jobs, while Sainsbury’s has been approved to build a supermarket in Cheddar, creating 100 posts.

As part of Tesco's development, seven other shops, creating a further 120 jobs, could be built on land where the Sedgemoor Splash swimming pool used to be.
