What a good idea, putting to good use the food that is out of sell by date, I'm sure Tesco will play their part and donate fooodstuff when the store is built

A good idea - yes. should it be needed - no. Recession, hard economic times, austerity measures - all going on in this country requiring people to setup this type of scheme. All while our government spends billions on non-emergency foreign aid (by 2016 it will be the equivalent of every UK household contributing £500). £1bn to India alone in the last 5 years and they didn't even want it.

Back to the 1930's;it will be soup kitchens next. This just shows the callous indifference that this government shows to the people of this country. As long as they stay well off they think that everything is fine.In April when the huge benefit and welfare cuts start I expect a lot of people will wish to use the food bank, particularly the disabled who will lose their mobility and mobility allowance and will not be able to get to work.
