Pigeon netting under bridge collapses
THE pigeon netting under the rail bridge at Taunton Station has collapsed and is causing drivers to take evasive action.
Police are on the scene to ensure people's safety.
Network Rail has been informed.
The netting was put up as part of a scheme to deter pigeons from roosting under the bridge.
The project, along with painting and repairing the bridge, cost hundreds of thousands of pounds.

What a waste of time and money.
Maybe business's that were effected by the lengthy disruption to station road should be allowed some compensation for this fiasco.
Heads should roll for this.
