STUDENTS from Robert Blake Science College have enjoyed a trip to a boat show at London’s ExCel Arena.

An early coach ride took the children to the show, where they had the opportunity to explore a vast array of yachts at their leisure.

They visited various display stalls, the RAF rescue team, kayaking stalls, clothes stands, and car displays, including Ferraris and Bentleys.

Simon Carter, progress leader for Year 11, said: “There were giant pools with remote control racing boats, which the students were allowed to play with, and an opportunity for them all to take part in a paddling experience in kayaks.

“They saw all kinds of huge boats, their specifications, performance ability - and millionaire price tags.

“The day was rounded off with all receiving goody bags and a truly eye-opening experience as to what you could buy if you won the lottery!”
