Fire crews called to rescue a pigeon in Burnham

FIRE crews from Burnham were called to Maple Drive this afternoon to rescue........a pigeon.

According to the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service: “Fire control received a call from the RSPCA to ask for fire service assistance witht the rescue of a pigeon trapped on the roof of a property.

“The report stated the bird was tangled by its legs in some netting on the dorma window of the property.

“Crews from Burnham used a roofing ladder and triple extension ladder to assist in removing the pigeon. Duty of care was left with the RSPCA.”
