THE fire service was called out to Cutcombe today (January 20) after a car became stuck in snow.
Two fire teams from Minehead and one from Bampton responded to a call reporting a road traffic collision at Dunkery Beacon around 1pm.
A fire service spokesman said: "On arrival the first appliance from Minehead located the vehicle and advised that the other two appliances were not needed.
"Crews proceeded on foot to the vehicle and released two elderly people who were inside but not trapped and conveyed them to a place of safety. Crews also made the vehicle safe."
