COUNCILLORS have welcomed news that a Zebra Crossing will be installed outside Highbridge Medical Centre.

County councillor John Woodman, together with town councillors Chris Williams and Pat Burge, have worked hard to get the application for the vital safety precaution at Pepperall Road in place.

This will enable residents to cross safely, following concerns about the traffic volume and speed travelling from Burnham Road to the Frank Foley road.

Cllr Woodman, county councillor for highbridge division, said: “I am delighted this road safety initiative is going ahead and I would like to thank Councillors Williams and Burge for the support they have given to me in this application.”
