Man arrested over Friarn Lawn assault on Garry Sutton

A MAN has been arrested in connection with an assault in Bridgwater which has left 59-year-old Garry Sutton seriously injured in hospital.
The attack happened in Friarn Lawn around 11.30pm on Monday.
A police spokesman said this evening (January 9): “Since the assault in Bridgwater we have been conducting extensive enquiries to identify and locate the person responsible.
“As a result of these enquiries we have this afternoon arrested a local man in his 20s. He has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and is currently in police custody.
“Anyone who witnessed the assault and has not yet spoken to us should contact us on 101.”
