Wind in the Willows is second best-selling Christmas show for The Brewhouse

Wind in the Willows is second best-selling Christmas show Wind in the Willows is second best-selling Christmas show

WIND in the Willows was The Brewhouse’s second best-selling Christmas show, according to a spokesman from the theatre.

The family show, performed from December 7 until January 5, saw a rise a 5% on last year’s ticket sales.

It could not quite top the theatre’s best-selling performance, which was The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe in 2010.

The show, musically directed and arranged by Mirek Salmon, saw all the popular characters – Mr Toad, Mole, Ratty and Mr Badger – and songs including Up Tails All, The Open Road, Today Toad Hall and Tomorrow The World.

Why are stories such as this written in such a style that makes it an exclusive?

There is a big difference between a local interest story and something of fact. A 5% increase on sales figures is not an exclusive.

It should be written as a thank you if need be, if you only put one show on a year then it is not hard to know that someone is going to attend particularly at Christmas and New Year.

The Brewhouse saw a fantastic rise this Christmas with the classic Wind in The Willows. Ticket sales jumped a massive 5% over the last Christmas but still does not match the wonderful The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe.

We would like to thank everyone who paid us a visit in 2012, we hope that Taunton and the Brewhouse theatre can encourage more people to visit for music, theatre and drama.

Might be a bit more filling and it is 5am now, I am tired and typed that in 20 seconds.
