Could you help keep the Blackdown Hills clean? Could you help keep the Blackdown Hills clean?

THE Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is appealing for volunteers in the New Year for roles such as scrub clearance, coppicing, woodland management and Himalayan balsam pulling.

Some years ago, those doing Community Service (blokes and girls....) spent their hours up on the Blackdowns doing just those useful activities. Presumably the probation service spent a fair bit on the various tools.....
Why can't they do it now?
Or would that be too much like hard work?
